Apparel development resolves the decisions that make a garment repeatable: silhouette, measurements, construction, fabric, trims, artwork placement and finishing. The aim is a clear production reference that the brand and factory can review together.
Bring sketches, reference garments, artwork or existing specifications. We assess what is already defined and what needs design, pattern or technical development before recommending the next steps.
The development process connects creative direction with technical decisions. Original patterns establish the shape; tech packs document the specification; fabric and trim sourcing support the intended construction and finish.
Sample rounds and fit reviews test those decisions in a physical garment. Revisions should be resolved against the approved brief before grading and bulk production. Development scope and approval responsibilities are defined for the project.

Construction details you can inspect
The Cherry rugby polo combines 420 GSM terry, a knit ribbing collar, a potassium wash and fabric appliques. Product references like this help make conversations about materials and finishing more concrete.
Our studio is based in Los Angeles. Manufacturing is coordinated with factory partners selected for the garment and construction. Studio location does not mean every product is made in Los Angeles; the manufacturing location is confirmed for each project.
Once the garment specification and production sample are approved, the program can move into bulk manufacturing, quality control and delivery. Our custom cut and sew service covers this broader production process.
Do I need a tech pack before contacting you?
No. Share the concept, references and requirements you have. We can develop original patterns and factory-ready tech packs as part of a defined project scope. Existing specifications can also be reviewed as a starting point.
What is the difference between development and production?
Development defines and tests the product through design, patterns, specifications and samples. Production manufactures the approved garment in quantity. Each stage has its own costs, approvals and timing.
What should I include in the first brief?
Include product references, intended fit, fabric ideas, artwork, size range, estimated quantities by style and colour, target budget and required delivery date. Identify any details that are fixed and any that remain open.
How much do sampling and development cost?
Cost depends on the number of styles, construction complexity, materials, technical work and sample rounds. The scope needs to be reviewed before a project-specific quote can be provided.
Can you coordinate manufacturing after development?
Yes. Selected apparel programs move from development into manufacturing through our factory partners. Production feasibility, minimums, location, timing and freight are assessed against the approved product and quantity breakdown.
Send your concepts or references, product categories, estimated quantities, budget and delivery requirements. We will review the design and development scope.
